WIC Foods

As of July 15th 2015, local WIC agencies will implement WIC Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT), also referred to as “eWIC”. WIC EBT is an electronic system that replaces paper food checks and vouchers with a card for food issuance and redemption at authorized WIC grocery stores. Foods provided through eWIC include:

  • Paper grocery bag with various items and "WIC Approved Foods List" written on the front.Fresh, canned, and frozen fruits and vegetables
  • Whole wheat bread, pasta, and rice
  • Juice
  • Cereal
  • Milk
  • Eggs
  • Peanut butter
  • Cheese (breastfeeding women only)
  • Bean, peas, lentils

Infants receive infant cereal and baby food at 6 months of age. Moms and infants that breastfeed receive additional foods including cheese for mom and baby meats for baby.

Located: Highway 32 in Lakewood. Next to Laona State Bank
