Forest County CAN! (Coalition for Activity and Nutrition)

Northwood’s Immunization Coalition

Shares expertise around immunizations and communicable disease prevention. Every two years the coalition sponsors an Immunization Conference for health care providers in our region

Northwood’s Syndromic Surveillance

A collaboration of local health departments and medical providers to facilitate communication of and timely response to potential health risks in our communities.

Northwood’s Tobacco Free Coalition

A six county coalition with Forest, Oneida, Lincoln, Florence, Price, and Vilas Counties working to reduce tobacco use therefore reducing tobacco related diseases.

Northwood’s Breastfeeding Coalition

NBC logoRepresentatives from Oneida, Forest, Vilas, and Price Counties all coming together to promote breastfeeding as the natural nourishment for children and increase breastfeeding rates in our communities.

Partnership of nine northern region counties working together on strengthening capacity to meet the needs of the jurisdiction during a public health incident.

Border Preparedness Group

Coalition of Wisconsin health departments (Forest, Vilas, Marinette, Florence, Iron) and Michigan health departments (Dickinson, Iron, Delta Menomonie, Western UP District) that has developed a border county mutual aid agreement for emergency response and recovery.

The Northwood’s Dental Project

A public-private partnership that provides community members in Forest, Vilas, and Oneida counties access to oral health care by providing education, dental sealants, and varnishes free of charge.
