THIRTY-THREE CASES OF COVID-19 CONFIRMED IN FOREST COUNTY

Forest County Public Health officials have confirmed four additional people have been diagnosed with novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) for a total of 33 cases in Forest County. The individuals are linked to the current public health investigation with The Bay at Nu-Roc.

We continue to work closely with The Bay at Nu-Roc leadership and staff, along with the Wisconsin Department of Health Services Division of Public Health, Bureau of Communicable Disease, Division of Quality Assurance, and Emergency Management to ensure all appropriate measures are in place to keep the residents and staff safe and healthy. We continue to work with these state departments for assistance with staffing, securing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), and proper infection control practices.

The Forest County Health Department encourages community members to minimize their contact with others by staying home when possible, practice physical distancing and good personal hygiene, and stay alert for symptoms of COVID-19. If you are experiencing any symptoms, please contact your health care provider and ask to be tested.

In an effort to keep our community members up to date on COVID-19, the Forest County Health Department will continue to update our Facebook page with current COVID-19 case counts. This will include the number of negative and positive cases in Forest County.
