THIRTY-NINE CASES OF COVID-19 CONFIRMED IN FOREST COUNTY

Forest County Public Health officials have confirmed one additional person has been diagnosed with novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) for a total of 39 cases in Forest County. This individual is a close contact of someone who has tested positive for COVID-19 outside of Forest County. The individual is self-isolating at home. No further information will be released to protect the confidentiality of the individual. County health officials are contacting others with whom the individual who tested positive had close contact with.

The Forest County Health Department encourages community members to minimize their contact with others by staying home when possible, practice physical distancing and good personal hygiene, wear a mask or cloth face covering, and stay alert for symptoms of COVID-19. If you are experiencing any symptoms, please contact your health care provider and ask to be tested.

Moving forward, The Forest County Health Department will no longer be issuing individual press releases for all new positive cases of COVID-19. In an effort to keep our community members up to date on COVID-19, the Forest County Health Department will continue to update our Facebook page and local newspapers with current COVID-19 case counts.
